Improvement of international competitiveness for a country is from innovation and its capacity to improve productivity. Relevant policies used by successful enterprises and countries vary in different countries; but its basic features are consistent, which is to obtain superiority in international competition and to strengthen innovation intensity. The innovation refers to technical innovation and innovation in the aspect of corporate management mode, which can improve existing competitiveness of a country in certain industry or field and can make it be a member of developed countries, such as American computer electronics, medical equipment, film, and aircraft industry, Japanese household appliances, camera, robot intelligence industry, German chemical industry and automobile industry, and etc. The paper takes French manufacturing industry was taken as an example to analyze international competitiveness of France so as to provide experience for Chinese economic development. © 2018, STS Science Centre Ltd.
