摘要
NOAA-AVHRR and SPOT VEGETATION imagery is being used for parameterization and validation of a large-scale hydrological model of Northern Fennoscandia. Due to SPOT VEGETATION's spectral observations at 1.6 μm, snow can easily be discriminated from clouds. The thermal bands of the NOAA satellites will be used to assess spatial patterns of evapotranspiration.
