摘要
The zigzag leakage flux of axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) machine with fractional slot windings is bigger than other kinds of AFPM machine. Accurate calculation of leakage flux factor is very important during designing machines by equivalent magnetic lumped circuit method, however, accurate calculation of leakage flux factor is on the premise of accurate calculation of zigzag leakage flux factor. Based on the magnetic flux distribution characteristics of AFPM machine, the analytic formulas of zigzag leakage flux were derived at different position angles between teeth and poles. In order to evaluate validity of the analytic formulas, the leakage flux factors were calculated with analytic method and finite element method (FEM) by taking a machine scheme as an example. The calculated results by analytic method are accordant with the ones by FEM. The relationship of zigzag leakage flux and poles was given in this paper, it provides a reference for the designers who design and optimize the machine design schemes. © 2017, The editorial office of Transaction of China Electrotechnical Society.
