In model NT6135ZCzA supercharged diesel engine of fishing vessel, a set of LNG multi-point injection supply device and pump rack control mechanism was installed. The Infineon TC1766, a high-performance 32-bit MCU was used to develop the electronic control hardware system for the diesel-LNG dual engine. The speed control strategy in duel fuel mode and the mode switch-over strategy were also designed. Experimental results show that torque developed in dual fuel mode of 70% substitution reduces by only 1.6% and soot emission and exhaust temperature lower. The second scheme of the dual fuel mode speed control in low and higher load regions has higher fuel economy than the first scheme. The low load fuel economy could be further improved when using the strategy to switch automatically duel fuel mode to pure diesel mode in the load range less than 35%. ©, 2015, Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines.
