Autoloft is a new polypropylene staple fibre featuring a 3D helical crimp which is produced intrinsically during extrusion. It is now being used in automotive acoustic insulation panels, carpet pile yarns, fibre fillings, aquaculture rope, filtration and hygiene products. Manufacturer Autoconcept Ltd is planning to expand production and is looking at licensing arrangements for some end-uses.
