摘要
Several automobile companies including BMW, Kirchhoff Automotive and Henkel Loctite are working on the technological innovations in the vehicle engineering. The use of plastics is constantly increasing in vehicle engineering that made it possible to develop multifunctional components, save weight and minimize the number of parts to be assembled. Modern dual-phase, complex-phase and martensitic or hot-formed steel grades improve the mechanical properties of traditional deep-drawn steel many times over and enable thinner sheet to be used. A weight-optimized front end structure made of plastic and metal is therefore an especially attractive option for vehicles with a conventional drive layout. Steel reinforcements and structural elements provide the assembly with the necessary rigidity at points where force and torque transmission are important. The polyolefin plastic PP LGF30 is bonded to the e-coated steel parts using the acrylate-based two-component special adhesive Loctite 3038.
