摘要
Results and design of a double balanced Gilbert cell based upconverter for a direct conversion transmitter are presented. The upconverter is designed and implemented in a pure digital 0.18μm single poly, six metal complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) process. The mixer, with associated local oscillator and baseband buffering consumes a peak current of 18mA and operates under a 1.8v supply. The device exceeded the Bluetooth specification on first silicon.
