摘要
Application of heterogeneous metal catalysts in the synthesis of primary amines via reductive amination of alcohols and NH3 is reviewed. Reaction mechanism of alcohol amination (including condensation amination and reductive amination) and catalytic systems used for reductive amination are summarized. Alcohol dehydrogenation is the rate-limiting step in reductive amination of alcohols and NH3. In addition, metal dehydrogenation activity varies due to their different adsorption capacities for NH3 and amines. Furthermore, this review gives an overview of primary amine synthesis, including the development of heterogeneous catalysts for reductive amination of alcohols and NH3 by hydrogen-autotransfer amination without hydrogen, employment of suitable supports and synthesis technology of primary amine compounds from biomass-based alcohols. © 2018, Editorial Board of Journal of Chemical Engineering of Chinese Universities".
