The demise of Seiki Systems, the Brighton-based software division of Hitachi Seiki was discussed. Dartford-based Kenard Engineering made an offer for the acquisition of the company that satisfied both the administrators and Seiki Systems. Kenard's modern manufacturing facilities make ideal environments to further develop and test the software on a wide range of jobs and machine tools. These include Hitachi Seiki machining centres, and a 72-pallet, Fastem FMS, integrated with five Mitsubishi machining centres.
