摘要
Thomson Data Analyzer(TDA) and UCINET were used to perform data mining and quantitative analysis of papers on shale gas research since 1969 from SCIE database, which was provided in information platform by Thomson Reuters Web of Science Ltd. The quantitative analysis was done and the results showed that global shale gas research papers keep growing overall in fluctuations and this growth is very obvious especially from 2008. The international shale gas researches focus on two areas, one is the study on physical properties of shale reservoir itself, such as porosity and gas absorption capacity, and the other is the method to reconstruct reservoir, especially hydraulic fracturing. The United States, China and Canada are to carry out more shale gas research, and the University of Texas at Austin(USA), China University of Petroleum and the Chinese Academy of Sciences are the top 3 institutions of shale gas research in the world. In recent years, China and its main research agencies are very active in shale gas research, especially the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China University of Petroleum, China University of Geosciences show important strength in shale gas research. ©, 2014, Science Press.
