摘要
This paper constitutes a review of the literature of polymeric materials and their applications in agriculture. The various types of polymers, their structure and methods of application have been presented (Fig. 1). Moreover, a comprehensive analysis of biodegradable polymers with special emphasis on the factors influencing their degradation process was also done. The application of these biodegradable materials and the properties, on which their applicability in agricultural production depends was evaluated. A separate chapter was dedicated to thermoplastic polymers with fiber-producing properties and biodegradable fiber materials for agricultural applications.
