摘要
A possibility for using high-chromium cast irons as the tool material in metal working is determined. An influence of content of carbon and chromium, macro- and microstructure of a metallic base on thermal resistance of cast irons is estimated. It is found that the carbon content lowering and 17-18% chromium concentration are required to provide high thermal resistance of high-chromium cast irons under thermal cyclic loads. The cast irons with ferritic structure of metallic base possess the best thermal resistance. The equiaxial macrostructure in the process of castings producing favors alloy resistance against thermal shocks.
