摘要
The interfacial bonding of hemp fiber reinforced natural rubber(HF/NR) composites was improved by hyperbranched polymer(P500), and the mechanical properties of the composites were improved. The effect of P500 on the mechanical properties of HF/NR composites was studied, and the mechanism of P500 in composites was investigated. The interaction mechanism between P500 and HF was further illustrated by increasing the content of hydroxyl(-OH) on the surface of HF by alkali(NaOH) treatment. It is found that the mechanical properties of HF/NR composites are significantly increased after adding P500. The tensile strength of composite material is increased from 20.2 MPa to 21.58 MPa, 100% modulus from 1.83 MPa to 2.67 MPa, and the elongation at break and tear strength of the material are also increased. It is found that the bond between HF and NR in the composites is stronger after adding P500, because P500 improves the interfacial bond between HF and NR mainly by forming "bridge structure" between them. © 2019, Editorial Board of Polymer Materials Science & Engineering.
