摘要
The intensity of static electric field (SEF) under high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines is increasing with the voltage of HVDC becoming higher, which arouses public attention on the biological effects of SEF. The effects of HVDC-induced SEF exposure on learning-memory and some antioxidant enzymes activities in livers of mice were investigated. Mice were exposed under HVDC transmission lines for 35 days, with SEF intensities of 2.3~15.4 kV/m (experiment group I), 9.2~21.85 kV/m (experiment group II) and 0 kV/m (control group). Results of Morris water maze test showed that, there was no significant difference in the latencies in the hidden platform acquisition training among the three groups(p>0.05). The percentage of time spent in the target quadrant decreased significantly (p<0.05) and the percentage of time spent in the opposite quadrant increased markedly (p<0.01) in experiment group II on 34th day. Results of neurotransmitter determination showed that there was also no significant difference in both glutamate and gamma-aminobutyric acid concentrations among different groups (p>0.05). In the test of hepatic antioxidant enzymes, the superoxide dismutase activity increased in both experiment groups at 7th (p<0.05) and 35th (p<0.01) day when compared to the control group. However, none of the other test indexes showed differences, including glutathione S-transferase, glutathione peroxidase, and malonaldehyde. © 2016, High Voltage Engineering Editorial Department of CEPRI.
