A quantum mechanical representation of acoustic waves was proposed to investigate the interaction between an acoustic wave and a medium from the view points of energy and momentum. The driving force of acoustic streaming and acoustic radiation pressure was derived using the momentum of an acoustic wave. Absorption and reflection of acoustic waves account for the acoustic wave interactions with the medium which is a mixture of acoustic radiation pressure and acoustic streaming.
