In this paper, the high-PAPR problem of filter banks multicarrier systems based on offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (FBMC-OQAM) is considered and a novel scheme is proposed based on Extend Candidate Transmit Sequences (ECTS). ECTS can be used to combat the overlapping structure problem and solve the high PAPR problem in FBMC-OQAM systems. Linear combination of candidate transmit sequences is applied in the proposed scheme to extend the candidate sequence sets, and the overlapping structure of FBMC-OQAM signals is considered. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme is applicable and the PAPR performance of FBMC-OQAM systems can be improved significantly. ©, 2015, Binary Information Press. All right reserved.
