On the basis of simulated draining condition of filter pressing on soda residue soil, the draining consolidation experiment is carried out under vibration by using the dynamic triaxial tester. Making a comparison between the results of hydrostatic pressure consolidation experiment and that of experiments under different confining pressure, amplitude and frequency, the vibration effect on consolidation behavior and drainage is analyzed; and the draining mechanism under vibration is drawn. It is indicated by the experiments that the rate and amount of drainage can be obviously improve by vibration; and that the draining effect of soda residue soil is evidently affected by confining pressure, amplitude and frequency. Thereof, the cause that draining effect of existing filter-press technique is dissatisfactory on soda residue soil is analyzed. The results of experiments and mechanism analysis are of guiding significance and practical value for improving existing filter-press technique.
