Tension damage model with subsection curve of concrete and its numerical verification

Damage variable was applied to analyze the damage of the concrete in order to describe the standard of the constitutive-relation of the concrete. Based on this, a new damage model with subsection curve of concrete was proposed with the result of the strain-stress curve and the hypotheses of energy equivalent. In the new damage evolvement equation, the material parameters were gained from the experiments which were rigorous theoretically. The uniaxial tensional specimen and three-point bending specimen were calculated in ABAQUS with this damage model, which shows that the maximum value of the damage was 0.9329 in the uniaxial tensional specimen and 0.989 in the three-point bending specimen. It also offered a new method to analyze the damage of concrete dynamically.
