摘要
Gasoline/diesel and n-butanol/diesel blending fuels were applied to a high-pressure common-rail heavyduty diesel engine by the ratio of 40%, 60% and 80% in volume fraction. The effect of gasoline and n-butanol blending diesel fuel on the combustion and emission characteristics of partially premixed combustion ignition (PPCI)mode was studied in the operating condition of 0.48 MPa and 0.95 MPa BMEP.The test results show that with the increase of gasoline and n-butanol blending ratio, the ignition delay extends significantly, which helps to separate the combustion process from injection events.Under 0.48 MPa BMEP operating condition, all blending fuels is easy to achieve a high ratio of premixed combustion.40% blending fuels with EGR is able to comply EURO Ⅵ emission legislation, however, 80% blending fuels encounter high pressure rise rate and low combustion efficiency issue. When the engine comes to 0.95 BMEP operating condition, the ignition delay and premixed combustion ratio of each blending fuel decrease evidently. Both 40% and 60% blending fuels combustion appears as diffusion combustion.Compared to gasoline, n-butanol obtain lower brake specific fuel consumption(BSFC) and soot emission at a lower blending ratio.80% n-butanol blending fuels with a medium ratio of EGR achieves 87% premixed combustion with 0.4 g/(kW•h) NOx emission and 0.001 5 g/(kW•h) soot emission. © 2020, Editorial Office of the Transaction of CSICE.
