The latest trends of DC circuit breaker (DCCB) technology, SF6 alternative gas circuit breaker technology, and high voltage vacuum circuit breaker technology are investigated and systematically summarized, including their interrupting duties and application examples. © 2023 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.
