Based on a model of the human visual system (HVS), a novel approach is for presented for static image watermarking in this paper by employing multiresolution fusion techniques of the image. Any kind of image watermark in the host image can be embedded, and the original unmarked image is required to extract the watermark. The availability of the extracted watermark is evaluated by comparing the normalized correlation coefficient of the extracted watermark with the true one. Experimental results show high robustness of the approach to most of the processing techniques such as blur, sharpen, additive noise JPEG compression, etc.
