Control method of multi-motor's speed synchronization control in dynamometer test bench for multi-axles' vehicle

The speed synchronization control method for motors used in multi-axles driving vehicle's dynamometer bench test was investigated. The dynamic characteristics of components commonly used in vehicle's mechanical driveline were analyzed and their ideal models were established. And the dynamic model of test bench was then got through combinations of those ideal models. It is found that the dynamic bench model can be considered as a model composed by many individual models of single motors without any coupling, when there is a sufficient number of planetary gear differential between wheels and axles in the vehicle driveline. In order to improve the speed synchronization control, a synchronization control architecture was designed for the multi-axles driving vehicle's test bench based on the idea of differential velocity feedback. The simulation results of the control architecture show that the synchronization control can be achieved effectively. ©, 2015, Chinese Vibration Engineering Society. All right reserved.
