Cloud computing is seen as the future of enterprise IT. The significance of the cloud stems from the boundless services provided by it. There is the potential for numerous security solutions to be developed for a variety of service interactions in the cloud and for storing data that has been created or processed by these services. This suggests that cryptographic key management will add an extra layer of intricacy to the issue of cloud security. © 2017 Elsevier Ltd
