The machine-building Andritz AG company (Austria) has completed negotiations on its biggest ever acquisition: Ahlstrom Machinery Group (Finland). Andritz AG is the market leader in wood processing technologies, refiner systems for production of mechanical pulps and pulp drying plants. Ahlstrom Machinery Group is a leading supplier of chemical pulping plants equipped with liquor disposal and chemicals recycling systems. Together, operating as Andritz-Ahlstrom Corporation, they will employ 1300 people and generate annual revenue of approximately 687.7 million Euros.
