摘要
In this study, the preparation of Li4Ti5O12 hollow-sphere anode materials using the soft template method and their electrochemical lithium storage performance are investigated to improve the rate capability of Li4Ti5O12 as an anode of the lithium-ion battery. The TiO2 precursor is controlled to obtain a hollow spherical structure by adjusting the amount of dodecylamine as the templating agent. Li4Ti5O12 with a hollow spherical structure can be obtained via chemical lithiation. The XRD and SEM analyses denote that Li4Ti5O12 is a pure phase exhibiting a homogeneous morphology and an obvious hollow structure. The electrochemical performance test denotes that the hollow spherical Li4Ti5O12 electrode materials exhibit an excellent electrochemical performance with an initial capacity of 170 mAh/g. Further, the capacity remains greater than 155 mAh/g after 100 cycles. In addition, the hollow spherical Li4Ti5O12 electrode materials exhibit a superior rate performance with capacities of 135, 115 and 100 mAh/g at current densities of 5, 20 and 80 C, respectively. © 2020, Editorial Department of Journal of HEU.
