A wireless sensor networks routing algorithm based on data features and location information

In wireless sensor networks, data aggregation is a vital technology to conserve energy. This paper has proposed a centralized data-aggregation-centric wireless sensor network routing algorithm-HRGD. Based on methods of hierarchical cluster analysis and extraction of node position and data characteristics, this algorithm has built routing architecture with greedy strategy. It can maximize data aggregation efficiency and remove redundant data. In this way, energy consumption in applications with relevant data characteristics can be reduced and therefore prolong the network life. Copyright © 2013 Binary Information Press.
