Process of treating the coke oven gas has been considered. Efficient equipment for mass exchange should be used in this process. In order to properly select the equipment, it is necessary know relation between diffusion resistances in phases and its dependence on the process conditions. The process takes place in scrubber. Mathematical model of the process has been developed. The model makes it possible to evaluate influence of equivalent diameter of packing on coefficient of mass transfer. Calculation of the coefficients of mass transfer in gas phase have been carried out. Results of the calculation have been presented. Diffusion resistances of gas and liquid phases have been evaluated.
