摘要
A bi-dimensional granular system of N inelastic hard disks is studied by using hydrodynamic equations using a moment expansion method. The method uses a reference distribution function f0 that differs from a Maxwellian distribution in that it has a nonvanishing fourth cumulant, K. The value of the fourth cumulant is determined directly from molecular dynamic simulations. The obtained value is independent of the size N of the system.
