摘要
'Tong Tan' is a trailing suction hopper dredger built for China Harbour Engineering Co/Tianjin Dredging Company by IHC Holland. The history of the relationship between Tianjin Dredging Company and IHC Holland is outlined. Details are given of the main characteristics of the 'Tong Tan' and it's classification, accommodation, deck equipment, dredging operations, dredging control system, dragheads, hopper self- emptying system, engine room, electrical installations, hydraulic power, fire fighting systems and safety equipment and the wheelhouse. A list is included of subcontractors and suppliers of equipment for the vessel.
