The objectives of this study were the production of phenolic plywood from eleven species of the genus Eucalyptus, the evaluation of physical and mechanical properties of those panels and the indication of their possible uses in civil construction. The results indicated that the plywood from all the appraised species can be destined to external use, with exception of E citriodora plywood, restricted to intermediate use. The plywood can also be used for construction, production of framework and naval use, in this case restricted to use conditions in which the panels are not requested to the perpendicular static bending, due to the values of MOE that did not reach the requirements of the Brazilian Standard - NBR 9531 (1986) and NBR 9532 (1986).
