Kinetics of esterification reaction of Jatropha curcas L. fatty acids in supercritical methanol

摘要
The esterification reaction of Jatropha curcas L. fatty acid in supercritical methanol was conducted and its reaction kinetics analysis was studied in programming evaluation method. The results showed that the most appropritate conditions for Jatropha curcas L. fatty acid esterified in supercritical methanol are volume ratio of fatty acid to methanol of 1:2, reaction temperature of 290°C, and reaction time of 20min, which yields 98.49% of fatty acid esters. Reaction kinetics analysis showed that the reaction order of esterification reaction of Jatropha curcas L. fatty acid in supercritical methanol is 1.4467, activation energy is 66.79 kJ/mol, and kinetics equation is -dcA/dt=5.65×105 e-66.79/RTcA1.4467.
