The impact of charge carrier dynamics on the outdoor performance of cesium-lead-halide perovskite photovoltaics

摘要
We investigated the optoelectronic characteristics of cesium-based perovskite using various techniques. The steady-state photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy of this perovskite solar cell composition shows the presence of strong peaks at a wavelength of 759 nm, which that corresponds to a band gap energy 1.63 eV. This band gap energy was estimated using two complementary methods, the PL emission spectra and the UV-vis absorption spectra. The study describes the dependence of photon energy on wavelength using a Gaussian mathematical model. Real-outdoor performance testing was conducted in Ethiopia's climate during the hottest seasons to study the device performance under outdoor conditions at varying irradiances. Moreover, we investigated power generation from the devices using current-time measurements and analyzed charge carrier dynamics through transient photocurrent measurements.
