Aiming at the shortcomings of the conventional engine room monitoring system for fault diagnosis, a fault diagnosis system based on Bayesian network is proposed and embedded in the monitored control system. Analyzing fault mechanism and combining with the monitored control system's data, establish the model of fault diagnosis based on Bayesian networks. According to the diagnostic model, a fault diagnosis model is designed in the monitored control system software. The results show that the diagnosis system can effectively diagnose the fault source, can satisfy the requirement of the intelligent marine monitoring and improve the security and reliability of the ship at the same time. 1553-9105/Copyright © 2014 Binary Information Press.
