Analysis and identification methods for vibration characteristics of rotor rub-impact fault

Rub-impact behavior of lumped-parameter nonlinear rotor is simulated and various response solutions are obtained. In the meantime, two kinds of chaotic routes are observed including the route of quasiperiodicorbit motion entering chaos and that of chaos entering periodic motion abruptly. On the basis of numerical analysis, experiment observation has been performed and the observed results are consistent with those from simulation qualitatively. At last, vibration characteristics of rub-impact fault are summarized and the corresponding identification methods are presented. The above results for rub-impact rotor are of great significance to the effective diagnostics of the rub-impact fault of a rotor system.
