Safety initiatives by steel producers uphold the critical need for workplace safety. Many companies have successfully implemented the creative approaches for work place safety with effective corporate support. The seminar of year 2001 focuses on hazard recognition, prevention and best practices in the steel plant. The topics to be addressed include effective safety training practices, industrial hygiene, prevention of common injuries, hazard identification and prevention, and emerging safety issues.
