Based on the satellite TT and C system, China has established an integrated S-band TT and C and communications system of manned space flight. This system is composed of the control centers, ground observation stations and the four vessels deployed in the three oceans to provide the wide coverage, high date rate and reliable TT and C and Communication services for Shenzhou-5 manned spaceship. It is also the only real-time communication link between the spacecraft and ground control. This network has acquired the capability of sharing TT and C resources with international networks, and it is capable of providing TT and C services for more than 20 near-earth orbit satellites and geo-stationary orbit satellites simultaneously. Advanced in all technical indices and with a complete range of functions, its technology is equal to the advanced international level.
