Changes in maximal and minimal newsprint prices are presented for the European markets over the years 1996-2002. For 2003, most experts do not foresee any further decrease in newsprint prices in Europe. However, some experts believe that, in the beginning of 2003, the price of 1 ton of newsprint will decrease by 25 euros and 1 ton of 45 g/m3 newsprint will cost 525-550 euros.
