For achieving high data rate and better indoor coverage and to fulfil high capacity demand, low power-low cost femtocell network is very good option. For successful deployment of femtocell, smooth integration of femtocell network in macrocell network and seamless communication between macrocell and femtocell network is very important. Conventional handoff algorithms used in macrocells need some modifications to satisfy handover management in integrated macrocell femtocell network. In this paper, we have proposed a new hybrid handover approach with call admission control policy which takes care of seamless communication between integrated femtocell-macrocell networks, effective utilisation of femtocells and avoids unnecessary handovers.
