摘要
In this paper, we present a new motion estimation algorithm for motion compensated frame rate up-conversion. The proposed soft-decision motion estimation algorithm utilizes the interpolated frames as feedback information to enhance the estimation accuracy significantly. After the process of motion estimation, motion vector smoothing is used to remove the outliers in the motion vector field. Finally, an adaptive-weighted motion compensated interpolation (MCI) is adopted to interpolate the intermediate frame. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the existing methods both subjectively and objectively. 1553-9105/Copyright © 2013 Binary Information Press.
