With the development and application of lithium iron phosphate battery, more and more power battery in DC system using lithium iron phosphate batteries to replace original lead-acid battery. The lithium iron phosphate battery management system (BMS) is the focus of this paper, the communication between the battery management system and the substation monitor of DC system, effectively ensure the battery and the DC system is safe and reliable to work. How to grasp the variation rule of the internal state of the battery and the influence of external factors on the capacity of the battery, to establish a reasonable and effective battery model and algorithm of SOC and realize SOC estimation and reduce the estimation error, which is the most basic and the most important aspect of the battery safety management. © 2016 SERSC.
