摘要
Auto-reclosing is an effective method to improve power system reliability. However, the distribution line non-communication protection cannot be easily coordinated with the auto-reclosing, so auto-reclosing has never been applied to series of distribution line non-communication protection systems since bad timing may induce long power failures for some loads. This paper presents an auto-reclosing scheme that adapts to the distribution line non-communication protection. Auto-reclosing is not effective in the load side circuit breaker because this would hinder downstream loads from regaining their power supply after the reserve power source automatically reconnects, so auto-reclosing is applied in the source side circuit breaker. This scheme can restore the power supply to all loads after a temperary fault and minimize the power failure time. The electro-magnetic transient program (EMTP) simulations show the effectiveness of the scheme.
