A computer controlled multi-channel measurement and analysis system is developed for laser absorption spectroscopy based on LabVIEW. The system hardware is based on a computer with a NI USB-6212 data acquisition card and photo-detectors. The scale analysis of the laser frequency calls Matlab in LabVIEW. A median filter and an averaging method are used to improve the signal to noise ratio for the measured spectrum. The system uses a modular design and multithreading to fully utilize the characteristics of the data stream operating mechanism, which ensures higher accuracy and more comprehensive data analysis of the absorption spectrum. This study indicates that the system is able to sample, display, store and analyze spectral absorption data. ©, 2014, Press of Tsinghua University. All right reserved.
