The correlated k method and the reordered wide band absorption coefficient model were used to generate the absorption coefficients for water vapor and carbon dioxide. The date generated can be applied for the accurate calculation of radiative heat transfer with nongray gases. These two model were also used to calculate the wide band absorption for water vapor and carbon dioxide. These two models agree well with Edwards' wide-band model, so they can be used in the engineering calculation. When the path length is short, the correlated k model is more accurate, and when path length is long, the reordered wide band absorption coefficient model is more accurate.
