摘要:
A set of intelligent agent-based schemes was proposed for integration and implementation in base stations to achieve the self-adaptive attribute of future-generation mobile networks at the resource assignment level. A simulation model of the base stations embedding intelligent agents was designed using an agent-oriented programming platform called DIMA. The model provided performance results in terms of call block, hand-off failure, and access delay in a mixed voice/data environment. A method to upgrade channel segregation to handle the different QoS requirements of voice and data was also proposed. Results indicate that communication among intelligent agents in base stations improves performance.
