摘要
To solve the durability issues of concrete structures and control the structural cracks effectively, a new composite beam was developed using the different thickness of ECC in the tension zone and the BFRP bar as the tensile rebar. Experimental study was carried out to evaluate the flexural performances of these new composite beams. The test results show that the crack width and the first crack height of BFRP bar reinforced concrete structure are limited by the ECC material in the tension zone. Moreover, the crack number in the beam increases and the crack spacing decreases with the increase of ECC thickness. In addition, no dislocation appears on the interface of ECC and concrete materials, and the cracks are controlled effectively, when 50mm thickness of ECC is used in the tension zone of composite beam. However, the ECC material in the tension zone has no significant effect on the cracking load and the ultimate load of BFRP bar reinforced beam. ©, 2014, Science Press. All right reserved.
