摘要
Buildings, as products of built environment creation made by human kind, consume a substantial amount of energy. Building energy performance attracts much attention from many countries. Two things building energy use affects are fossil energy consumption and waste emissions. To address the lack of quality and quantity assessment of energy consumption, an environmental impact assessment model based on exergy methodology is developed for building energy use. The model is applicable to building energy use in P. R. China, where two-thirds of the environmental impacts of energy use arise from fossil energy consumption and one-third is from waste emission.
