This paper studied the designing problem of a delay-dependent guaranteed cost controller for a class of nonlinear time-delay systems with norm-bounded uncertainty by Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. The sufficient conditions were first derived for the existence of delay-dependent guaranteed cost controllers. The sufficient conditions equal to three kinds of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). It is pointed that a convex optimization problem with LMI constraints to design the optimal guaranteed cost controller.
