DSM outage has put pressure on butadiene prices. The company has put its butadiene customers on 15-20% allocation after a power failure at its complex at Geleen, the Netherlands. The company's power failure did not seriously affect ethylene and propylene production at its Geleen crackers, and it is supplying customers as usual. Dow Chemical also suffered an unplanned outage at its 600,000-m.t./year third cracker at Terneuzen, the Netherlands.
