摘要
The control of scattering length from a complementary angle was addressed. In particular, the possibility of causing an otherwise stable condensate to collapse by making an effective scattering length negative was examined. For this study, the coupled atom-molecule Bose-Einstein condensate was employed. It was found that the very concept of scattering length fails when the collapse is approached. In the mean-field model, the condensate was stable.
