Iggesund Paperboard (Sweden) has developed a technique of identifying paperboards in packaging so that fake goods can easily be detected. The company's method of security marking is patent protected and the manufacturing details are not disclosed. The end result is a clear mark that is similar to watermarks. The mark can be made visible to the naked eye or only under UV light and can be customized. The marked paperboard makes it easy to detect the most sophisticated counterfeiting.
